Under-promoted Masterpiece

First off, I believe this movie was dreadfully under-promoted. I read the preview of it six months ago and it was captivating. Camilla Belle and Elisha Cuthbert are both wonderful actresses
who maintain the essence of teen angst throughout the movie. Martin Donovan gives an excellent protrayal of a sexually abusive father, yet presents him in a way that begs for sympathy, which is a hard thing to do. It reminds me of the character he played in the movie "Saved" (2004).
Overall, this movie is a great representation of the hardships of growing up as a teenager with serious problems and should be given a chance. |
