If you're not gay, this movie may not make much sense. There were several references to gay culture that only older gay men will get, however.
It is a spoof of teen movies (American Pie) and series like Queer As Folk. It has all the major components of both.
I enjoyed that the cast was gay. Each character had endearing traits. You begin to believe that they actually are friends.
There were some things that I thought were over-the-top, but they were funny and didn't detract from the main storyline.
I was surprised by the full frontal nudity, but again, it didn't take away from the movie.
Scott Thompson was fabulous in it. Lypsinka wasn't used enough. Richard Hatch was funny, but not intentionally.
The bull dyke was scary. |
