I have read the book, so I was excited to see the amazing visuals technology allows. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It was as though whoever put this atrocity together must have had an unbound copy of the book, tripped losing pages and was unable to organize the rest. Yes some key ideas were mentioned, barely. This movie should not have been passed as a finished product. The hope that it was somehow get better is the only reason I did not walk out and demand my money back. This movie stole my energy! I left feeling tired and distraught. If you really want know what Celestine Prophecy is about without actually having to read, I recommend you spend your money on the unabridged CD instead. Lou Diamond Phillips did an excellent job with the reading. |
