Recently, Lions Gate Films has brought us some of the goriest, sickest Horror films in recent memory. However, not every film can suceed on the same plain as sadistic cult classics like 'SAW' and 'HOSTEL'. Not to say that 2005's 'Carrie'-like revenge romp 'TAMARA'is ALL bad. It does Horror fans their justice by deliver sickly inovative kills.
First of all, I'd like to say that this film DID succeed in keeping me entertained for an hour and a half. I expected some Piece-O-***** rip-off of 'CARRIE'. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the creative minds behind this flick understood the medium and milked it to it's limits.
This film IS gory. It IS bizzare and it IS scary in some places. Some of this flick feels a little "Straight-to-DVD"-ish. But I did enjoy this flick and would proudly make it part of my DVD collection any day of the week.... If you're a TRUE Horror fan, then this film won't dissapoint you. |
