Take your kids, grandparents, parents and anyone else to see this movie. It is by far the best non-animated G rated movie since...I don't remember, it's been that long. It was not syrupy-sweet, and had a great moral, but it wasn't trite. Jason Bateman did a great job as the cynical-yet-nice adult. The little kid did a great job: real and had issues a lot of kids have. Hoffman's lisp was a bit distracting, but I got used to it.
A very cleverly made film. My kids (middle school aged) loved it. |
