Well, with the recent success of the triumphant "Brokeback Mountain," I decided to go out and do something strange for me... rent some gay drama, horror, comedy. So, there's plenty of gay drama (imagine that) with Queer as Folk and the lot, a number of gay comedies and I couldn't find any gay horror.
Now to Adam and Steve... lord is this all we have? This was rated as one of the top gay comedies and it's A-W-F-U-L! The acting is horrid and Parker Posey (normally one of my favorites) appears bored and distracted during the whoel thing. Chris Katan gives his usual retard in a shirt schtik and the main characters are flat and sterotypical. I was looking for depth and I hit my head on the bottom of the pool. Thanks, but I'll stick with sports movies and films where things blow up. |
