This movie is definitely a movie to see with a group of friends who love to laugh. It is very entertaining; I laughed, laughed,clapped, tapped my feet, cried and laughed some more. It probably will not win any awards. However, it was a fun movie and it was obvious everyone involved with the film enjoyed making it. It was really kind of corny, and at times it was gross in a "South Park" kind of way. The choreography of a western two-stepping dance off was fantastic. The music was well chosen allowing the characters to make fun of themselves and life's crazy events. The closing song says it all... and it is a happily ever after film that manages to throw in a few politically correct life lessons about tolerance, acceptance, and personal responsibility for one's fate in life.
Don't let the bad reviews keep you from seeing this movie... you be the judge... the folks in the theater when I saw it, including a best friend of mine and me all laughed out loud and definitely left smiling. |
