Well I saw this film yesterday and it is not a major film release, I mean it's an indie. We knew that. I'm not sure what people expected from the horrorfest. Advertising exagerates always. There is no save car out there yet all car commercials promise you the safty of a nuclear bunker. So please if you're disappointed in these films or with the horrorfest, it's not because these films are bad, but because you expected something different, and that is your fault!

I thought Dark Ride was a great indie film and it has substance to it. The story is shaped after a 80's horrorflick. Some kids get lost in a haunted house ride in an amusement park and then get slaughtered one by one. The acting was pretty good, sometimes the film was too dark, inside this haunted house, and it was difficult to see who had said what and so some of the acting got lost in there. But I thought it was decent and well directed. Some funny moments and some gory moments. I was happy it wasn't overly gory with hallowween blood you can get at "aaahh's".
All in all a cute little indie horrorfilm!! |
