Gellar Has Found Her Niche

The Return is a scary, well-plotted movie that is fore everyoen who wants a good scare!
Sarah Michelle Gellar is really doing the righ type of movies. Horror/Suspense films like The Grudge, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, and more recently The Grudge 2 and now The Retrun really show off here acting abilities, and I think she has found her niche.
Joanna (Gellar) gets supernatrual visions of a murder that she thinks she has no connection to. And when she goes back to her home-state of Texas for the first time since she was a child, everything gets much worse. The movie takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotion and suspense.
Overall the acting was great, especially Gellar. This type of movie is what she needs to be doing for the rest of her career as a younger actress.
The plot was great and was revealed at just the right times. The story isn't revealed in order to make everything seem more mysterious and to give more to the movie. And once you get towards the end all the pieces start coming together, and it makes you feel like you figured it out, which is always a plus. Also, scary, creepy, and everytying else in between. You'll be sitting at the edge of your seat.
Visuals were good, Direction was good. Thats pretty much all I can say about them.
So I would reccomend this movie to anyone who is a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar, or anyone who wants a good scare or thrill. |
