This is a very interesting movie that has a lot of relevance in present day society. You never know who you can trust and ho is good and bad. Five Fingers uses the metaphor of life being a real life chess game. Every decision you make and every person you meet effects your life. Ryan Phillipe and Lawrence Fishbourne are both very good together in this film and are the two main chess players in this film. The movie can get very boring at times because it is not just another kidnapping movie. The film tells the story in its own unique original way and throughout the film I did not know who I was rooting for; Ryan Phillipe's character or Lawrence Fishbourne's character. The film is not great, but it is not bad either. One thing that took away from the film for me was the fact that I figured out how it was going to end halfway through. I think this film might e worth seeing once if you do not have any other ideas of what to watch otherwise it is not a must see. |
