I understand that this movie is based on the famous Onion newspaper. however, this is already the first flaw of the film. A movie on a paper about random absurd crap just is not a good film idea. The movie honestly looks like something me and my friends could have thrown together in one or two days. The jokes aren't funny because they have either been made before or try too hard to be funny. This is the reason Family Guy was created. It was created in order to have something out there that makes fun of everything and is just a random compilation of absurd jokes. Therefore, we did not need a movie made to fulfill this duty. The paper itself is actually very well put together and is very funny. This is just a very poor quality film. Shrek would be very disappointed in this movie as well. Onions have layers, but this movie being The Onion Movie sure doesn't have any layers. if anything its rotten. |
