You know, I used to hate on Josh Hartnett. But after seeing him in this movie I must say...he's quite the charming fellow. And funny guy. And quite a competent thespian. So, I have made a decision to defend him as an actor from now on.
The rest of the cast in this movie is, like my new favorite star, fantastic. All the performances are funny and entertaining and make "Lucky Number Slevin" move quickly and interestingly.
The plot is, unfortunately, a little less seamless. It's very funny, entertaining, quick and interesting, yes, but something about it just isn't quite A level. Still, the movie has definitely earned a B+ which, like my papers in college, is something to brag about. |
