Here we have John Rambo sent back into Vietnam and once again thrown into the heart of a blood thirsty conflict. In the first film he didn't want to kill anyone, in this film he kills just about everyone! the violence level and the amount of explosions have been kicked up a notch and as such the whole last 30 to 40 minutes of this film is like a rush of nonstop action, though it is completely implausible, it is never dull. The dialogue, like it was in the first, is actually better then one would expect for this kind of mindless action thriller. Richard Crenna returns and basically does a lot of standing around warning others of exactly who they are dealing with, and thats fine, we have Stallone to give us all the testosterone pumping action we need. The film's climax is marked by yet another preachy mini speech, but it is all in good fun and nothing we shouldn't already expect. |
