A Decent Movie

Honestly, I didn't think the movie was all that bad. It's Freddy Krueger. Therefore, he's allowed to defy all logic. He doesn't have to follow any rules of convential norms and make sense at all. I really enjoyed the storyline about Freddy being able to come into the real world; a feat only accomplished in Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
The acting is good, but your usual 80's classic scary movie acting. Nothing too special. And was it my imagination or was the main character's/Jesse's hair line receding something horrible for a kid still in high school? LoL
The special effects for this movie are phenomanal for their day. I always respect movies with great visuals before the day of computer animation. So, props to them in that department.
Frankly, this film makes for a great afternoon thunderstorm viewing. It has just the right scares and more than a few laughs to really keep you interested. |
