Ok, you would think a movie titled "Black Dahlia" would actually be about the infamous murder case. It wasn't. This movie was a disjointed crime drama/disfunctional buddy movie. I think the few short minutes that the Dahlia was mentioned was just thrown in so they could use the title. I won't even go into the lesbian porno flick scenes. This movie must have been some sexually frustrated guy's drug induced nightmare. The movie is supposed to be based on a book (fiction) so I'm not sure who's nightmare vision the movie is, DePalma or the book's author.
Don't waste your time. This movie was a complete waste of time. It's two hours of my life that I'll never get back. Save yourself some money and find the 70's TV movie on cable. |
