CRUELTY to ANIMALS is WRONG!

This film is NOT better than the original! This film ended up the way it did because the film makers did not have any good ideas! The ORIGINAL film is a CLASSIC with beautiful costumes and scenery but this film is a bit of nasty joke about animals and countries of the world.
Both my mum & my sister said this film was better than the original, but I do NOT agree with this. The ORIGINAL film is one of my TOP FAVOURITES because it is so EXCELLENT! This film, the sequel, is ONLY SLIGHTLY good. If you ask me, it is ONLY just good enough to BE good.

I think it was so silly when someone threatened to take the farm animals away, just because Mr Hoggett injured himself. Just because the boss of the farm is ill is NO REASON to decide on removing the animals. After all, MRS Hoggett could have taken up the job of caring for the animals; she could have asked other people in the family help with it.

What about the scene where Mrs Hoggett was FALSELY ACCUSED of having drugs in her suitcase just because a guard dog barked when Babe started a conversation with him? That guard dog explained what his job was and barked as a demonstration to Babe. That scene was IDIOTIC. I did NOT like it at all. There was one occasion 2 years ago when I went on holiday with my sister and our suitcases were accidently put on the wrong plane, which make us both very angry. Fortunatley, they came to us the next day. The scene of which Mrs Hoggett being arrested at the airport is a LOT WORSE than having your luggage put on the wrong plane by accident.

Mrs Hoggett took Babe to the city so that she could earn money for the farm. She was going to earn money by getting Babe to perform in a stage production at a funfair. The clown who was leading the production was EVIL. He was evil because he did not give Babe to Mrs Hoggett when she came to collect him. I`m not so sure, but I THINK that the clown was angry with Mrs Hoggett for arriving late. The clown did not give Babe to Mrs Hoggett because she was late and he wanted to get on with the production. He SHOULD have done what Mrs Hoggett told him. When the production was taking place, Babe started a fire. I notice that Babe told the clown that he had to leave. When he left, he knocked over the clown so that a fire started. The fire was not accidental. I THINK that Babe DELIBERATELY started the fire because he was angry with the clown. I am PROBABLY RIGHT about Babe starting the fire as a PUNISHMENT to the clown. That clown needed to be taught a lesson for taking Babe away when Mrs Hoggett was looking for him. It was RIGHT of Babe to run away and start the fire. When the fire started, the audience and staff ran out of the building. Everyone left EXCEPT for the clown. The clown stayed and watched his show burning down. Because he stayed with the fire, he ended up in hospital. It was SILLY of him to stay and watch the fire because we ALL KNOW about the FIRE EVACUATION RULES: if a fire starts, you MUST GET OUT OF THE BUILDING! The clown was presented in the hotel in a wheelie bed after he had been burnt by the fire. IT SERVES HIM RIGHT for taking Babe away! It was rather like a PUNISHMENT for being nasty to Babe & Mrs Hoggett.

There were some chimpanzees who were dressed in human clothes because they were trained to behave like humans. There was also a little monkey who was dressed in human clothes. Finally, there was an orang-utan called Thelonius who really felt like a human. Thelonius had a pet goldfish who he looked after very well. I did NOT like the way these animals were dressed as humans. It is WRONG to treat apes & monkey like this. I know that apes and monkeys are ENDANGERED species because so many have been caught for people to keep as pets. People should NOT have keep these animals as pets: they do NOT make good pets. People think they look cute, right? I would like to say that apes & monkeys MAY look cute when they are young, BUT they are going to GROW INTO BIG creatures that NEED A LOT OF SPACE AND FREEDOM. I also know that apes have been previously used in animal testing. This is because they are the closest living relatives to humans. Because the United Kingdom PASSED LAWS AGAINST the use of apes in animal testing, the places have transfered to monkeys because they are the next closest relatives to humans. Animal testing is WRONG, but keeping endangered animals as pets is ALSO WRONG. At the end of "Babe 2: Pig In The City", the chimpanzees went BACK to being WILD ANIMALS! I was VERY PLEASED when they went back to the wild because that`s where they belong! Apes are BETTER OFF IN THE WILD! I`m sure you will agree with me about this.

There is another scene which is all about CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: it is the scene where the animals in the hotel are taken to the Pound. The people of the Pound (The staff) are being CRUEL to the animals by putting nets on them and throwing them into a van. It all began where Babe was singing "If I Had Words" in front of the other animals in the hotel, and all those animals joined in the singing. There was an Opera Singer next door who complained about the noise and got some people to inspect the hotel. The people who came to inspect the hotel worked at a Pound. When they saw the animals, they captured them by putting nets on them and taking them away. It was WRONG and CRUEL of them to put nets on the animals. If fact, it was WRONG of them to remove the animals from the hotel.
The staff of the pound put the gold fish at risk when they put a net on Thelonius when he was holding the fishbowl. The bowl smashed when the net was thrown onto Thelonius. This meant that the fish slowly began to die because it needed water to survive (all fish need water to live in). Fortunatley, Babe SAVED the fish by swallowing it and spitting it into the river.
One of the men from the Pound fell into the river. I was PLEASED when I saw this because the people from the Pound were EVIL because they were cruel to the animals: ALL of the animals were RESIDENTS of the hotel; NONE of them were stray. To my surprise, there was a dog in a wheel chair who did NOT get taken by the staff of the Pound. This dog tried to PULL BACK the woman who drove the animals to the Pound. The dog in the wheelchair pulled at the coat of the driver. I think he should have pulled at her LEG so that she would learn a lesson. The people of the Pound did NOT take any notice of the dog in the wheelchair.
My mum explained that a Pound is a place where animals are given numbers and if people do not claim the animals, it means the animals are put to death. I do NOT approve of taking animals away and killing them just because nobody claims them. I support Greenpeace and I`m hoping to SAVE endangered animals. More importantly, I`m trying to be kind to every kind of animal. in the film, the animals ESCAPED from the Pound by sneaking away. It was RIGHT of them to do this. They did NOT deserve to be in the Pound, so they escaped.
When the Hotel Owner and Mrs Hoggett saw that the animals had gone missing, they went to RESCUE the animals. They ended up an opera house and caused havoc so that the animals could be rescued. It was RIGHT of them to tear the opera apart because the Opera Singer was RESPONSIBLE for the disappearance of the animals. That Opera Singer was a COMPLETE IDIOT, complaning about noise when she was a NOISY person HERSELF. I really enjoyed it when Mrs Hoggett rescued Babe and when the Hotel Owner found the animals from the hotel. At this point, the Hotel Owner MOVED OUT of the hotel and sold it to a disco company. This meant that the Opera Singer had EVEN MORE NOISE to complain about! It SERVED HER RIGHT for complaining about the noise in the first place. The changing of the hotel to the disco was a PUNISHMENT for the Opera Singer. I was pleased when this process took place.
