OH, CRY ME A RIVER

I've been reading all the reviews about how this film is too dark for children and I feel that I should throw my opinion out there. First, let me start with telling you of when I first saw this movie. It was probably around the age of 7 or 8. I can't remember how many times I watched it, but I know that I didn't understand the message about it, I just found it entertaining. Watching it today, at 15, this movie is no doubt my favorite. Now, to the point of my review. The first film was great, and many people have commented on how this movie doesn't give it justice and of how it is was "horrifically dark." Well let me tell you something, not everything in life is all butterflies and flowers. I thought the sequal was stimulating and it showed what life is really like, but it also showed that there is kindness in the world. Sure, some people might say that it is not meant for children, but the movie wasn't made just for children. It was made for adults too. I'm not saying I have kids and I'm probably not going to have them, but if I did have a child, I would definitely show this to him/her. This movie teaches about friendship, love, and bravery. The visuals were AMAZING and the sad scenes had me not too far from tears. This film has so much emotion in it, most serious feelings throughout, but it was also whimsical, and hey, it all led up to a happy ending. All in all, I think this movie is greatly underestimated.
