Very cute romantic film between two women. It was refreshing to see the gay theme in this film played down (no anxiety over being gay, etc). It's treated much the same as love between a guy and girl would be. Don't watch this film expecting it to be a lesbian Brokeback Mountain. In fact, those two movies shouldn't even be compared together - they're nothing alike (a problem many critics can't get past). My only complaint is that the film was too short and that as a result there wasn't quite enough character development. Despite that, I thought the leads had good chemistry together. I'll see it again. |
