I left this film feeling highly offended. How could you completely change such an amazing story? The character of Beowulf has gone down in history as being one of the greatest heros of all time! Plain and simple. In the original text he had no motives. He was the definition of a hero. So how could you change the story to make him corrupt and greedy!?!? This story was changed so much it made me sick. And the worst part? He had sex with Grendel's Mother? Are you f^#^@ing kidding me? There were just so many inappropriate changes to the story. If you see this film please read the poem afterward! So you can see what an amazing hero Beowulf actually is!! |
