The idea is interesting, what would have happened if the South had won the war. While some of it was uncomfortable to watch because of the blatant racism, you never lost sight of the satire. The problem was the whole thing was just flat.
It had the feel of Kentucky Fried Movie, but none of the flat out funny scenes. It wasn't smart enough or clever enough, and although it is listed as a comedy - it is not funny enough. You'll get two or three good laughs and that is it.
I was just hoping for more. I wanted to learn something or be challenged. Several people left in the middle. They didn't look offended, just bored. |
