A Memerable Love Story

Unlike other action movies I saw recently, this movie started unexpectedly slow and peaceful, without those ostentatious explosions, without an alluringly thrilling plot, and without any sorts of magnificent computer-generated graphic effects. It is a kind of typical love story that makes you indulge gradually into the ideally longing atmosphere.

The movie begins narrating with two people: one lives in 2004 while the other one lives in 2006, whose lives, however, are interconnected by a lake house made with large materials of glasses, a mailbox that is capable of transferring letters via time and space, and an auspicious dog, Jack. Both of them have somewhat typical life as a single middle class professional, where the guy works as an architect and the girl is a physician in Chicago. Through this miraculous mailbox, they begin to know each other, talk to each other, tell each other how they feel and eventually they are in love. The story then gradually revolves around how they encounter this time-space conflict, their trust, and uncontrollable love toward each other.

I really enjoyed this movie, for reasons that it surely delivered me a sense of love and romanticism, where especially nowadays many people are seeking, or lack of. The movie is not about an unrealistic fantasy, which as the miracle of mailbox and dog Jack will lead you to meet your fate; it is probably for many loners like those two in the movie, who are lost in their emotional life and are almost desperately waiting, just like the book ¡°Persuasion¡± in the movie. The main point is, no matter how they have struggled, they step up bravely and succeeded. That is what we should be looking for¡ªa little bravery during one¡¯s lifetime journey, especially when you have sensed an opportunity of someone u desire for a long time.

So in the end I have to say, this movie leaves me a deep impression. I won¡¯t call it a masterpiece of cinematography. But I can say if you¡¯re going to watch it, the ticket won¡¯t be wasted for sure. And perhaps more or less, you will find something amusing, or something pondering and impressing.
