When my fiance saw the previews to "The Lake House" and got so excited to see it in theatres when it came out, I was really surprised that she wanted to see what appeared like a failure of a movie. However, going along with her to mostly be together and give it a try, was not such a bad idea after all.
In fact, "The Lake House" was a very good movie, in my opinion. Certainly it can be a chick flick and have soft and cheesy moments, but the story was very intriguing and unwrapped beautifully in front of our eyes. The directing was great because it did not allow cheesiness. This movie won't let down most people, especially couples and romantically involved people. For action-lovers and thriller-maniacs this movie will be too slow and uninteresting.
It is a great movie whether seen at the cinema or at home when it comes out. Just see it when you get a chance. |
