Having read other peoples' reviews, I agree with those who recommend it for the many reasons given; however I saw a more subtle message in the movie. This is about a universal tendency of human nature over eons of time to alter the original teachings of great religious leaders who start religious philosophies which evolve into organized religions. Periodically another spiritually minded individual is born who tries to clean up the perversions that have crept into the teaching "dogma" of a religion. The perversions come about because influencial individuals with agendas of either(and or) power , greed and lust, spin the original dogma to suit their own agenda. Past history of Christianity has ample evidence of this, even to our own day. Open your eyes and look around you to see present day parallels. |
