This movie really had potential.
Did anyone really notice that there was no difinitive antagonist. There was no sense of struggle to adjust to this new society or any specific individual who... you know what. Basically, there was no story. No dialog. Sporatic characters.
Everything was disjointed; scenes that were exedingly long, inconsistent choices in music, character developent (or lack there of). One would be quick to say that the acting was poor to mediocre, but I believe that they did the best with what they were given. Even when scenes oozed of candied opulence, they succeeded in exhuding the taste of chalk.

This should have been a silent movie, because the only thing that had substance for days were the costume designs and scenery. |
