Confusing Movie that disappoints

This movie disappoints in many way ever since seing the trailer I wanted to see this movie badly
I mean its about one of the most notorius Rock bands in history.
But the movie is planned out really bad it keeps on jumping in time like a bad trip
with no chronological order.
What saves the movie is the acting and that with a storyline about the stones and rise and fall of a rock star you can't really go wrong.
But then the direction is messed up instead of having a bit of a narration in the beginning of the movie and having Brian lieing dead in the pool and then letting him begin to tell the story of how it all happend.
The movie starts jumping back and fourth we go 3 months back
we go to 58 then to 63 adn then to 65 and then to 63 again
in the end it becomes very confusing and annoying.
Anyhow his final demise sets in just after the Rolling stones leave him
since he is like a big baby and can't function without peopole taking care of him
Then we see like a music video part of him singing a song
its never answered if this was a solo realease that he made after the group or if it just a flashback from the past. And its all directed like a poor music video.
The casting is how ever done perfectly especially the female lead Anna Woxlin (Brian's last girlfriend) who is played by swedish beauty Tuva Novotny there is even some swedish in the film.
But all in all
A Movie thats really bad
you think its going to be a party epic about
Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll
instead its just one bad flashback trip into a tragic person's life.
Only stand up man seems to be the hustlin road manager Tom. |
