The Tennessee Bell Witch is one of the greatest ghost stories of all time, and it is the greatest American ghost story to date.
Andrew Jackson, 7th US President, was actually assaulted by this Bell Witch, in front of witnesses, for almost 24 hours. Jackson's statement after leaving a day earlier than planned was that he would rather face the entire British Regiment than the Bell Witch. Not in the movie. Why not, you ask??? Because it doesn't fit into the contrived story invented for this film about a molested girl with kinetic abilities who is revenged by her mother.
Ever been serinaded at funeral by a disembodied voice singing dirty limricks? John Bell's family and friends were. -- Not in the movie.
Heard about the Bell Witch prophesies? Hope so, because you won't hear about it from this stupid film. She predicted the Civil War, WWI and WWII, just to name a few.
Don't waste your time with this drivel. Go buy one of the 20 books in print that actually tell the story of the Bell Witch. |
