I saw the midnight showing of Snakes on a Plane and it was THE MOST FUN I've had at the theater ALL SUMMER. I kid you not.
Maybe it was all the fellow geeks in the room with me (there was so much laughter and cheering throughout the film, I couldn't even hear some of the dialogue!), maybe it was Samuel L. Jackson's sheer nature to be awesome, and maybe it was all the bits of COMEDIC GOLD throughout the film. This is a film that mocks itself and it crosses lines you wouldn't usually see crossed. No spoilers here, for that would ruin the random humor of it all. It is a bit gory/nasty though, as a fair warning. All in all, it was everything I thought it would be. Possibly even a bit more.
Don't see it alone, though. The only way to watch it is with a big crowd, or a group of friends. Bring your pals and have a good time at the movies for the best movie of the summer! |
