I have to say the movie was ok. On a scale of 1 to 10, the movie would probably be 7-7.5 I'm pretty impressed about the game adaptation. It is definitely one of the better ones if not the rare one. The movie incorporated some ideas from Silent hill 1 through 3. The way the movie was presented was pretty nice. It got your attention most of the time, and made you think what will happen next. Of course as with typical horror movies, there are some cliche moments in the movie, but that is to be expected anyways. The acting in the movie wasn't terrible. It was believable enough. Casual movie goers who have no clue that this is a game can still follow the storyline with relative ease. For gamers, the movie will not be a dissappointment since it is well adapted. The pyramid dude didn't play as much of a role as you would think in the movie. He was only in the movie for just a little bit. The special effects of the movie was pretty good. I have two gripes about the movie. One was that it seemed a little long at times. The second was that in the end it starting getting a little wierd and questionable. Overall, the movie gave off a creepy and wierd vibe. I enjoyed it. The movie had no nudity. It was more gore then anything.
So...for those who are gamers this is a flick to check out since it is *GASP* decent. For casual movie people, its worth checking out. |
