Dillon plays it through as a droll, pulls-no-punches drunk who's literary Muse is addled by alchohol, tobacco and sex.
Wandering the dark underbelly of losers, boozers and skid-row wannabes...forever the consomate writer, eschewing advise, friends and family.
This movie is not for everybody. As Dillon composes his "story" we hear in narration form his voice, proclaming insight into the human condition as if he were a skid-row Saint.
All the acting is great, Dillon's "philosphy" as true as a bottle of scotch just drank.
Give me a drink, a smoke, and a reason to believe! |
