Too long but not a total waste

This movie is about 1 hour too long. As an example of how much dead screen time there was, in the screening I saw, the film messed up and for about 15 minutes we had dialog, but no visuals. The projectionist fixed the film and continued on without rewinding it, and yet I didn't feel like I had missed that much. For a movie about hostage-taking, it was strangely dull.
And yet, it was not a total waste of time. I gave the movie a B- instead of a C+ because I didn't resent having seen it. It had an interesting premise and the acting was decent. Justin Timberlake did not annoy. This would be a good movie to rent with friends, so you could talk during the slow parts. |
