This is an illuminating scary look at American society that is bound to open your eyes. Largely inspired by Eisenhower's warning about the military industrial process, it gives a timely look at the forces that are driving foriegn policy and the direction of our nation. It manages to present this timely issue without being overly preachy and not pounding the anti-Irag war or democratic theme. This makes the film much more powerful than a Michael Moore diatribe. In fact, my favorite part is when the director has a running clock while listing the name of all foreign entanglements in the past 30 years. It shows you that the military industrial complex is not neccesarily partisan issue but a universal one. |
