A Few Reasons To Give This Movie A Chance

I will admit, at first, I was a bit up in the air about this coming to the theatres. I saw a few of the characters and thought "uh oh, doesnt look promising". Saw the previews and did the same... woah, that could be.... umm...
BUT...
I will be the first to admit that this movie went way past all the expectations I had. He was able to blend everything together perfectly. The movie was around 2 and a half hours. It wasnt dull or boring like some critic put on here. It gave background to how things get to where they are. Each main character (human) got plenty of time to show how they were in the spot they were. Each Transformer had quite a bit of time on the screen too. See, the thing you have to look at is .... This movie is the beginning. We all know how the cartoons always started off and seemed to sum things up in 10 mins, then bam, batttle. They started it from a starting point, and made sure to cover just about everything necessary for you to understand how it got to that point. Meaning, even if you werent a fan or didnt know anything about Transformers, the beginning was told.
The robots, being as different looking as they were in still shots online, were awesome in the movie. Each one was detailed perfectly. You could tell they brought it down to the last bolt.
So, before shooting the movie down, like I was doing way before it came out, look at things this way... they have had how many different versions of the transformers. The original series, beast wars, Energon, Head Masters, etc. Each of them had something different in them. Watch or read the beginning of each one. How many are exactly the same ? Remember how Megatron went from a gun, to a futuristic canon thingy (what better can we call it right? LOL) a tank, a some weird gun (newer figure) and a T-Rex. Its just a few mind you and yes, I know Galvatron is supposed to be different from Megatron, except that whole part in the cartoon movie, LOL.
Look at this movie in a new light. Dont take what you already know about Transformers and compare it to this. Say "thats stupid , it was like..." or worse yet, like some critics "its not believable", Of course its not, its a Sci Fi movie moron ! Brought from cartoons and comics back in the 80s. Its evolved. So look at this movie as a new start to something we all used to love when we were kids. Now, we can love it as a kid while being an adult, hehe. |
