I caught the pre-release show on the 2nd. I'm going to keep this short and simple. I'm a 25 year old female, a first gen Transformer kid, this movie was awesome whether you know the backstory or not.
It rocked!!! I'm no "fangirl", but it seemed like everyone enjoyed this by audience reaction. Even my boyfriend whom is not a fan of the cartoon, old or new (Pokemon generation... I like em young...).
Robots said things I never expected, wise cracks, off the wall jokes, Backyard scene was priceless!
I will and am going to see this again, and I will get the DVD when it comes out, and there better be a sequel!! Okay so this is longer than I thought, but it was just that good. I was geeked up off Spiderman 3 like I was on street prescriptions, if S3 was "ex" then Transformers was "bliss" (twice the potency of x).
I saw this at 9pm and I'm still high on this one, and I'm hard to please. A film student that usually tears apart every aspect of a flick: plot, set, graphics, lighting, glitch, etc before I'm 10 minutes into a film.
I was totally engaged the entire time to the point where I chose to nearly pee myself the last 30 minutes so I wouldn't miss anything after drinking a large theatre sized Sprite during the first 30 minutes.
Go see it, if for no other reason than to see plug your ears and hum to yourself while you watch the kick booty meat ROBOTS!!! |
