You don't go to this movie for the acting. The acting is not that good, but it's not bad, either. The storyline is alright, but it could be done better at parts. This movie had some very neat effects and some scary parts in it as well. Also, this leaves room for a Pulse 2 as the way the ending was layed out with them driving off in the truck and such. In terms of effects, it has some really neat parts in the movie, such as when the lady comes out of the walls with Stone and also the bathroom scene with Mattie. I don't want to give too much away to you all, though; I'd rather you see the movie and form your own opinion on it. In terms of the remake, it's good for a remake; they didn't ruin the original movie and paid a lot of attention to detail and kept a lot of things in-tact like the first one ( Kairo ), but they also changed up some stuff as well. I would give the movie a 7 out of 10 ( 10 being the highest... and this is coming from me as a big horror movie buff ), and I'll probably buy it on DVD. If you all are horror movie fans, I'd recommend going to see this movie for the scares, as you'll get a good time out of it. However, don't go to see it for the gore, because there's little to no gore in this movie. |
