I thought this was a bit of a departure from the norm and as such I enjoyed it. The filmmaker cross cut new images with footage of the US back in 1955 which I thought was a nice touch here and there in the film. I thought Gretchen Moll was a good choice to play Betty Page. I think society is still uneasy with who and what she is even though the poses she did that were so controversial were done 50 years ago. Alas, this film is not for everyone, but its nothing ugly. |
