The movie NEXT is about a guy Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage)who is a Las Vegas magician, and has an unique ability he can see up to two minutes into his future, but there's an abnormality to his superpower he can see more than two minutes ahead into the life of one other person Liz (Jessica Biel), a woman whom he has never met. Cris goes on a journey to find her to learn why he is having visions of her future. Meanwhile, FBI agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) knows about Cris power and tracks him down. A terrorist in the Los Angeles area is about to detonate a bomb and the FBI believes Cris can stop this from occuring. Okay this first half of this movie is top-rate, but towards the middle-end It became a bit confusing for me, maybe is was the overpowering sci-fi meets 24 or the running you're our only hope theme that made it a little stale. Julianne Moore does the best acting in this flick. But with some noticeable short comings I still recommend it. |
