This was the CUTEST story EVER! But of course, that's what I would expect from the directors of How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days! The story was perfect- just like How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days. I went to go see it with my best friend and we did not stop laughing from beginning to end!!! I personally, am not a huge fan of Lohan and initially went because 1) it was by the director of one of my all-time FAVORITE movies (How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days) and 2) the trailors showed Lohan in some crazy, terrible mishaps that looked like it would be fun to watch. The movie really pulled me in though. So much in fact that halfway through, I was actually really feeling bad for Lohan.
The acting is very good by all the characters in the film- even though it took a bit of a stretch to see Lohan as a college graduate AND successful businesswoman- but overall it was very well done! Pine lights up the screen as one of those "pretty nerds" showing glasses ARE cool and that it is ok to show your affection publically to loved ones, carry around a huge backpack, and work at a low job.
It was just an AMAZING movie- full of laughs, mistakes, suspense, and even a few tears. I've seen it 3 times now and each time, I am thoroughly entertained.
If your intent is to watch a high-end drama with hidden messages and lessons, then stay away. This is a light-hearted, fun, ROMANTIC, single-layered movie PERFECT for relaxing, getting you in a happier mood, as a date movie, and a family film and I fullheartedly encourage EVERYONE to see it at least once! |
