As a father of 2 young kids (boys 6 & 8), I walked into the theater not knowing what to expect from this film. I was actually surprised by how much I found myself enjoying this movie. Everybody knows the story of Little Red Riding Hood; I've told it my kids a hundred times. But the CSI take on the story line, combined with a some very funny moments, cute characters, and a good moral made this an entirely new experience for me and the kids. I could see that my two boys really enjoyed the film, laughing, cheering, but most of all, paying attention. They are already asking to go see it again.
There's a certain Shrek quality to the movie with the humor and story line. If you enjoy animation, fractured fair tales, a good story, or need a good family film, Hoodwinked is definitely a safe bet. It would also be a great film for grandparents and grandkids. Enjoy! |
