This film takes an unconventional look into the British Underground. A Harvard student (Elijah Wood) a few months from graduation is unjustly expelled. Seeking support from his sister (Claire Forlani), he travels to England where he becomes acquainted with her brother-in-law (Charlie Hunman) who introduces him to the world of soccer firms. Similar to US gangs, these organizations seek to maim members of rival firms using broken bottles and bare fists instead of guns. At first Wood is afraid of the fighting, but soon finds some satisfaction in the security his newfound friends provide him, and more importantly as he says, the security he is able to provide to his friends.

The acting in this movie is good, and the storyline is believable. From beginning to end I felt captivated, although occasionally bothered by the hand to hand combat that fills the screens so frequently.
