A classic! John Wayne plays a veteran airline pilot, who survived a crash many years before. The crash killed his family. Now, he is working as a co-pilot. He is scheduled on a Honolulu-San Francisco flight. However, midway through the flight, the plane develops problems. They have to force their way onto San Francisco and prepare for a sea landing. Robert Stack plays the young inexperienced pilot. The passengers are an interesting group. This film is the pioneer of mid-air suspense movies. The plot has been copied many times, especially in the Airport movie series. This movie is one of Wayne's best. It is a must see. |
