I saw this last night at the Angelika. Brilliant film which shines a light on an all too neglected subject, men's competitiveness from the perspective of the "loser". What warm, rich and appealing characters these men make. A far cry from the Shwartzennegeresque clones fed to us as the masculine ideal.
Joe Pantoliano is superb, as is the rest of the cast. Highly recommended, though your bf might squirm a bit. On second thought, all the *more* reason to go! |
