While this movie is kind of hokie, it was not supposed to be a serious drama. It's a family movie and therefore has to appeal to adults and children. Watch it with that in mind and I'm sure you will enjoy it. If you watch it expecting Indiana Jones or Rick O'Connell and you will be disapointed.
