a straight to video action movie...the action scenes are decent and I did not hate the movie but trust me Eddie Griffin was not meant to take on a straight up action hero role....his facial expresssions and such when they are supposed to actually be serious look like him mocking action film stars really just because he is a comedian and that is where he shines best..basically this movie has the exact formula as UNDER SIEGE with Steven Segal..only instead of a navy cook taking on baddies who have taken over a ship you have a tug boat captain/ex firefighter taking on baddies who have taken over a floating oil rig..so one should probably save their money, but then again if you are bored it is not a total waste..but close |
