Excellent Movie, But Not For Everyone

Whether you like this movie or not will definitely depend on your taste in movies. Fans of films such as Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, American Psycho will definitely enjoy this movie. People who did not like any of those movies must clearly stay away. To start off, this movie is very slow in developing, however that does not make a movie bad, it just takes a certain type of viewer to appreciate. As a society we are raised on fast movie large hollywood blockbusters and very few people have the patience to wait for things to happen. There are a couple of fairly explicit sex scenes, this is a movie about violence and honestly although I wasn't expecting these scenes, they actually fit into the big picture of the film. It is definitely not a film to take small children too which unfortunately I saw some as we were exiting the theater. Finally, the film does not resolve itself in the end which we are conditioned to believe that all films are supposed to do in the end, this one doesn't so if you will be stuck on that point then save yourself the money and go watch something with a happy ending. If you can get past what I have mentioned though, this is an excellent film. |
