People are just plain stupid . . .

First things first, it is almost untolerable to read a review about this movie, saying that the usage of gore and blood was excessive. It's like going to a strip club and saying, "Holy Cow! It was full of naked women!" Of course that's what a strip club is all about, and everyone knows that this movie will contain graphic scenes and squeamish set-ups. If you know that its going to be violent and bloddy, don't go and see it and then later, bitch about its gore.
Now that's out of the way, about the movie: the movie was an intricately woven fabric of well thought out plans and perfect experiments. In fact, everything clicked sublimely in place a little too well, things never go perfectly as planned as humans are not omnisceint and thus cannot predict everything; in that sense this movie was quite . . . stretched.
If this was a book, it would have been a classic; the way everything was completely thought out was quite impressive, it is an interesting insight to the human psyche. The characters were believable, fuelled by various human emotions and desires that one can relate to.
It is amazing how the trailer isn't what the movie is about, how, the eight people in the room are mere rabbits in a bigger experiment. It would be intersting to find out why the director weaves such plots and makes such movies.
Overall, the movie was intelligent, the dialogues between 'Jigsaw' and the cop were deep and involving, and the acting was fair. A pat on the back to the director, whoever he is, and an impressive continuation of the Saw franchise; even though this story is a bit too far fetched and has a few loop holes, which if I go into, will give the movie away.. |
