I know a lot of people will find this movie to be boring but that is simply because people's tolerance for movies with depth has immensely shrunk. Now that technology has progressed it seems all people want to see in movies is some sort of special effects. The white house exploding or real Matrix type stuff. But it takes a lot more than technology and special effects to make a movie truly memorable. Horror is based around evil and what greater evil is there? No, this movie is not like oher horror movies in the since that there are no fake scares and the villian is the ultimate of villians. If people are expecting The Exorcist they are in for a twist but this is without a doubt the best movie on demonic possession since that of The Exorcist. The film begins with the death of Emily Rose and proceeds through a trial blaming the priest who performed the exorcist for her death. It goes back and forth from the trial to Emily's story and then to the unsuccesful exorcism. I believe that this story needed to be told and I know that I will never forget it. Whether it is true or not or whether people beleive it, that is up to them. But this film is indeed worth your attention. |
