I just came back from seeing the movie this evening. I usually do not post movie reviews but could not pass on this one. I thought this was a pretty decently "spooky" chilling movie. Now this is NOT a horror movie and anyone who is going to this movie to see a faked horror such as the Exorcist will be more than likely disappointed. As a whole people are just too closed off to that part of their brain that is screaming for them to be afraid of that noise in the dark. As a society we have become accustomed to needing to see someone ripped to shreds on-screen before even twinging with the semblance of fear. There were several of us in the theater however who felt the tingle and chill on the spine who probably will be tucking the covers a little more snuggly around our necks for a few nights to come. Overall I would have to suggest this movie to anyone who is looking for something more than a hack-slash scare. |
