I, like most people, went into this movie, based on the previews, with the expectation of seeing an extremely, terrifying, horror film.
This is the reason I can sympathize with audience members who became bored quickly or thought the plot to be sluggish.
However, if you have a longer attention span than the demons said to posses Ms. Rose, one quickly discards all pre-conceived expectations and simply accepts the fact that you're now viewing an amazing piece of work!
From the story, to the acting, the plot, the cinematography, and to the execution of the facts-- all flawless!
Reviews are all subjective and here in lies the problem. Not everyone will agree. But, I urge everyone to atleast attempt to use your own brain and draw your own conclusions.
No, it is not an intense horror. And no, it is not the best courtroom drama. But it is a perfect film, that tells the story of Emily Rose so objectively and is so unbiased. It lets you decide. Was she ever possessed? Was she simply epileptic?
It is the most REAL movie about demons you could ever see.
You will leave questioning everything.
