No this movie will not win hearts and Oscars like Braveheart or Gladiator, but it was entertaining along the lines of A Knight's Tale. Both Knight's and this film share many similarities, young actors taking on there first big leading roles after good support roles (Franco-Spiderman, Heath- The Patriot), with most support actors not well know. These films also shared an actor Rufus Sewell, who did a good acting job in both of these (and Zorro 2). But this has enough action, romance, betrayal, etc to make for an enjoyable film. If you like A Knight's Tale (minus the modern music) or the recent King Arthur, you will like this one. If you hated those two, then this is not for you. The reason for the C+ on story is because there were many things changed in this compared to the original printed tale. |
