When I first rented this flick I had no idea the origins of the story or the ties it had to the much famed Heavy Metal Magazine. I watched the Animated heavy metal long ago and found it amusing and strange at the same time. This movie carries on in that tradition. I for one liked Horus. Heros make mistakes when filled with pride. They can't see the light through their own egos and what archetype character to better portray this then a god? He made a mistake but it wasn't an irrivocable one. That and baby Horus at the end was a cute little blue pidgeon killer! For a odd movie with a plot that will make you go *Huh?* a lot and has some very neat visual effects this is the one. It is definately a thinker's type of movie. I enjoyed it a great deal and anyone seeking for a creative expression of pure fantasy with a sci-fi twist will love it too. |
